Ouch My Trauma Hurts (OMTH)

Shocking—I didn’t know I was going to do that! These are words of many traumatized people who may strike back at someone (often with a weapon) when they fear for their own lives during family violence.  
Or a veteran whose memories of lost buddies or mistaken kills of innocents still haunt them. 
That trauma escapes in memories so real that it seems like it’s happening all over again. Especially when a sound, sight, smell, or word reminds us of the previous trauma. 
If we act with panic and fear, commit some behavior we may not fully remember, then I may receive a call to help understand a traumatic tragedy. My hope is that the trauma victim can be understood.
