Stories From The Heart – Case Studies of Emotional Abuse

Ouch My Trauma Hurts (OMTH)

When I wrote this book, stories of emotionally abused people were described. It is hard to feel put down, like your ideas don’t count and aren’t important. How to hold on to our self-confidence when being emotionally abused- that is the question. And there can be more to emotional abuse, like being forced to do what we do not believe in- that’s called coercion. And the threats if we do not obey, they can be too awful to consider, like grave harm to ourselves, children, parents, beloved pets. We must save ourselves before tragedy strikes- like our getting in legal trouble for what we have been coerced into doing.

Safety is ever so important- our own and loved ones. It is valuable to get help, to make a call to a hotline, to talk with others. I wish for all of us both safety and less trauma in today’s trauma-filled world.
