Trauma Shared By Many- Joy Lives in Hope

Ouch My Trauma Hurts (OMTH)

TRIGGER WARNING- SELF HARM IS MENTIONED

It is not joyful to feel trauma shared by many in our society today. We can get lost in the joylessness of our own and others’ sickness caused by so many traumatic events. These events can cause head aches, stomach aches, body aches, compromise of our immune system (getting ill over and over), sadness, depression, traumatic dissociation (loss of awareness/concentration from time to time), and even thoughts of hurting ourselves (like suicide or cutting) in the absence of hope.

Be ever so careful with any cracks in awareness, especially when going up and down stairs, and certainly when driving! Try to focus and concentrate, even counting as you do steps while flooded by anxiety. And focus is so important while driving to avoid accidents!

Our joy lives in hope and controlling how much horror and negativity we take in at one time. We need to feel a sense of gratitude if able, and a mastery over trauma that cannot drown hope and loving attachment. Always feel free to ask for help, seek therapy, and share with loved ones. Sending you wishes for joy in your life!
