Ouch My Trauma Hurts (OMTH)
Cinder Cockerspaniel always leaves space in her bed for me. I do not believe she has cuddled before, having been one of about 13 cocker spaniels owned by a lovely woman before me. l believe Cinder was a rescued dog. I thought I’d made a mistake buying a dog bed that was bigger than imagined. But it turned out to be just the right size for the both of us to fit- me and Cinder. Perhaps the opposite of trauma is peaceful cuddling with your pet, person, stuffed animal that makes you feel secure in our world today. And perhaps the most horrific trauma is that which snatches away our hopes for ourselves and others to have peaceful lives with jobs, programs, nonviolence, and worry-free days of finance and safety.
I hope each of us can act in our own meaningful way to hug what’s most
important and trauma-free in our lives.
